Nancy Pelosi Suggests 8-Year-Old Transgender Jewish Children Should Be Allowed To Vote
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pressed upon the importance of allowing Jewish children to be able to vote after their Bar Mitzvah for males, Bat Mitzvah for females, and Box Mitzvah for transgenders. This would lower the voting age for Jewish males to 13-years-old, while the voting age for females will be 12-years-old, and the voting age for transgender Jews will be 8-years-old.
"I myself have always been for basing the voting age for Jewish children on this sacred rite of passage, whether it be a Bar Mitzvah for the boys, a Bat Mizvah for the girls, or a Box Mitzvah for the transgenders," Pelosi said. "I think it's really important to capture these kids when they're in high school, when they're interested in all of this, when they're learning about government, to be able to vote."
The House Speaker faced some backlash online for comments about capturing Jewish kids for political purposes. She replied to this criticism by stating that, "Don't be stupid, I'm clearly talking about voting. I mean, we aren't the Nazis here, come on."
Pelosi told Flake News that "this rite of passage signifies that it is time for these young people to take responsibility for their actions and observe the commandments. Therefore, Jewish-Americans should be allowed to vote after undergoing this rite of passage, especially considering that we want responsible citizens voting."
