Steady Leadership Is Stupid
It is with a continued sense of relief that I awake each morning to the realization that Obama is no longer our President. What a waste of a presidency that guy was! His steady leadership style, his oratorical skills, his family values and intolerance for hate and vitriol are all qualities of a poor leader. Frankly, I’m relieved we have gotten that out of our collective system.
Anyone remember the time President Obama had the audacity to wear that attention grabbing, and highly inappropriate, tan suit? A black President wearing a tan suit? That’s akin to a white President wearing an eggshell colored suit. Totally unprofessional. It was the desperate attempt of a man trying too hard to please people who had no interest in being pleased.
The fearlessness with which he spoke at the podium, clad in the hubris of his three-piece, poop-colored suit. How he tried espousing the virtues of some policy, his efforts muted because of his shortsighted attire. Pathetic, and totally not indicative of the leadership this country needed in a time of crisis; when the stock market wasn’t volatile, kids weren’t being separated from their parents, and the Environmental Protection Agency did stuff to help the environment. What a humiliating day for America that was.
Or how about the time he tried nominating Merrick Garland, a well-respected individual with a funny name, to join the Supreme Court. Fella, this country doesn’t want well-respected individuals with funny names populating our high court. We want justices named Brett, justices that make us feel like it’s the 1820’s again. When kids of different colors had their own schools and whites didn’t have their God-given rights impinged upon by other races and nationalities looking to make better lives for themselves.
Here’s hoping the current administration can find a way to allocate some funds to the reincarnation efforts of Justice Taney. We need men of bigoted courage in the high court once again, to retrieve the glory of what we’ve lost.
American’s love watching their financial futures going bi-polar through a stock market that reacts with such resignation and cynicism that it makes Eeyore seem optimistic. Such high drama and so refreshing; a real slap in the face to the era of steady leadership displayed by our former President. 401k’s are for losers anyway. Cash under the mattress. That’ll make us great again.
It’s opposite day in America and frankly, we love it! Let’s antagonize our allies and cozy up with our enemies. We mocked President Obama in 2009 for stating he would meet with Kim Jong Un without preconditions. It’s heroic, though, in 2018, that our current president did the same thing we mocked our former President for. It’s called evolution. Look it up. Just kidding. The earth is flat and we were created.
Let us eagerly watch the ratings pour in as we discredit the very institutions of protection that have created this dastardly quagmire of trust and idealism we now find ourselves mired in. Let us live in a constant state of inflammation, the health of our democracy be damned! Fear is good for the soul!
Thanks President Obama. Thanks for being the slap in the face that this country needed to get back on track.
