Hollywood, CA - We caught up with actor Kevin Spacey in a back room at a massage parlor to talk about his new role. No not for a movie, not for play either, but for real life.
He has been preparing for this role for a while, attending the famous acting school, The Center for Relationship and Sexual Recovery at The Ranch. He tells us it was at this academy where he truly understood the fundamentals of acting.
“You know, those instructors are experts at what they teach,” Kevin explained to us as we entered the sauna. “They get into roles such as ‘therapist,’ and ‘licensed medical practitioner,’ they just grill you. That is where you really get good at playing the part of a cured man.”
It has been a long road for the Academy Award winning actor. A long topsy-turvy road of portraying his most convincing role ever. He will be the first to admit the challenges he has faced.
“Before spending time at this acting school my only guidance was the script, you may know it as the California State Penal Code Section Ten Article 120,” Kevin explained to us in the locker room, as we prepared to leave. “But sometimes I felt as if there was a lot of room for interpretation.”
“Now that I am talking to the director of the whole thing, the Honorable Judge Patricia St. Clair, I have a better sense of the character I need to be playing.”
When asked how long he thinks this production will be going on for, and how long he will need to stay in character, he simply grinned and asked us, “Can I show you something?”
