Oklahoma City Man Was Sure Paul George Would Stay For The National Cowboy Museum Over Allure Of Hometown Los Angeles
UPDATE 7/1/2018: PAUL GEORGE LOVES COWBOY MUSEUMS.
Oklahoma City, OK -- Thunder super-fan Miles Morway was “shocked” and had his center of gravity “completely thrown off” when he learned Oklahoma City’s basketball superstar Paul George opted out of the final year of his contract to become a free agent.
Speculation has George landing with the Los Angeles Lakers, his hometown team. Morway wasn’t having it. “Why would he leave us to go there? We’ve got [Russell] Westbrook, Billy Donovan, some other guys, trainers, security people. He loves it here. There are so many museums and roads and plains. I don’t get it. I was so positive about this.”
The pain runs deep following OKC favorite Kevin Durant’s departure for the Golden State Warriors. “That one threw me off too. Honestly, what is ‘golden state’? Where’s that? Why would he want to go there? Guys, I’m having real difficulty with this.”
Morway needed a minute to gather his composure. “Look, we have the National Cowboy Museum. If George doesn’t want to come back, there are plenty of other free agents that would love it here.”
“These guys, NBA players, I know what they like. And we got it here. For sure.”
