Obama To Star In New Netflix Series ‘Democrats In Gerrymandered Districts Getting Beaten’
Chicago, IL -- Former President Barack Obama and his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, will executive produce, direct and star in the newly-ordered Netflix procedural “Democrats In Gerrymandered Districts Getting Beaten,” announced live earlier today at the Netflix upfronts.
As is procedural in most districts, Republicans command enough local power to redraw district maps in order to affect the outcomes of future elections. The new series from the Obamas would highlight the wackiness of the American political system, perfect fodder for bonkers comedy.
“Each episode would feature a different badly beaten and dejected democratic candidate,” said Co-Executive Producer John Edwards. The former presidential candidate and North Carolina senator has been pitching ideas to the network and anyone who would listen for years, and finally has the green light.
“Michelle and I are thrilled to take the next step. And that next step is money, money, money haters! We’re just going to be over here counting our cash, excuse me,” said a cocky Barack Obama. “Michelle, I need help counting these stacks, where are the kids? Oh right, college. Well, this isn’t going into the college fund, let’s just say that.”
The Obamas plan to produce several additional series for the network under an umbrella agreement, similar to a deal West Virginia senate candidate Don Blankenship reportedly stuck with Amazon Prime last week.
