Congressional Critics Blast Trump Appointment Of New Ambassadors To Wakanda Diamond And Silk
Washington, DC -- Democratic members of Congress blasted President Donald Trump’s appointment of social media pioneers Diamond and Silk as new ambassadors to Wakanda. California Representative Adam Schiff was particularly incensed.
“Wakanda is a fictional location. That’s number one. So, basically this is meaningless nonsense. But number two, I think this was done just to kind of piss off Black Twitter. Or for our president to be able to show how much he loves minorities. I’m writing a memo about this as we speak.”
Devin Nunes was seen eavesdropping near the interview and appeared to be furiously jotting down notes in his yellow legal pad, presumably drafting his own memo.
Diamond and Silk, born Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, were thrilled with the appointment. “Finally in an official government capacity, we can get to the bottom of Pizzagate. The big question is, what’s the Wakanda connection?”
The pair seemed willfully ignorant of the fact the African nation only exists in the Marvel Comic Universe. “That’s not true, it also exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” the two contended.
