Annoyed Climate Scientist's Wife Tired Of Hearing Him Say 'This Cyclone Is The Bomb'
Charleston, SC -- Jill Stoops is fed up. Her husband, renowned climate scientist Bill Stoops, keeps making the same joke. At home, when they are grocery shopping, before they go to sleep. He thinks it’s funny every time, but she is tired of it.
“This cyclone’s the bomb! Lol haha everyone must think this is funny,” she blurted out mocking Mr. Stoops. “Ok when we first heard about these bomb cyclones, it was interesting and different and exciting. And then he said his first bomb cyclone joke.”
Mrs. Stoops said they started innocently enough. “We were out to dinner with our neighbors the Wilmington’s and he said something about this upcoming inclement weather, and this cyclone being the bomb or something like that and it was innocent enough and kind of funny, like in a funny dad joke kind of way, not so incredibly funny. And it’s only gone down each time from there.”
The plan is to let Mr. Stoops down gently, maybe having one of the kids tell him first that the joke just isn’t all that funny. Hopefully over time, he’ll stop.
