Self-Loathing New BlackBerry Virtual Assistant Will Remind You Daily To Buy An Apple HomePod
Waterloo, Canada -- Forgotten phone manufacturer BlackBerry has announced its new virtual assistant Barry will aim to compete with Amazon’s Alexa, the Google Home line of products, and the new Apple HomePod.
We got our hands on Barry at a pre-release event at the company’s headquarters in Canada. Chief Tech Correspondent Moe Flake asked Barry if there was rain in the forecast for later in the evening and was met with the response, “You should really buy an Apple HomePod.”
The slick and ultra-quick responsive Barry was next asked to play a sad song from Adele on Spotify, and we were told by Barry to “go listen to this song on an Apple HomePod through iTunes” because support for Barry would probably cease in a couple of months when the company would be “facing bankruptcy proceedings.” The fascinating and informative Barry also immediately started reading out nearby Apple Store locations.
Amazing work Blackberry, you’ve really done it again.
