GOP Tax Overhaul: Ecstatic Low-Income Workers Plan to Use Increased Paychecks to Pay for Decreased Benefits
Washington, DC -- Millions of workers around the country are celebrating their slightly higher paychecks this week, with increased spending on essential goods and services that their stripped benefits no longer cover as GOP predictions of a economic stimulus are ringing true.
“This truly brings a single tear to my eye,” an emotional mess of a man Paul Ryan told Fox News this morning. “To see these low-income blue-collar types take home more pay and be able to put it back directly into the economy, buying the things they’ve always depended on in the past for free from the government, before we started taking them away of course, again it makes me just well up,” Ryan said fighting off tears. “You know I used to work at McDonald’s, right?
”Republican architects of the new GOP tax legislation hope to further reduce taxes and strip benefits to the poor, but shhhhh, don’t spell it out for their Red State base.
