Trump Laments ‘Good Old Days’ When Only His Tenants Called Him Racist
Washington, DC -- President Donald Trump today remembered a time in which only African-Americans and Asians living in his family’s buildings in Manhattan and the Bronx believed he was racist, as part of a wide-ranging and often contemplative interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
A demure Trump fondly recalled the “good old days” when black applicants to his building had their paperwork “tossed” and Asians “weren’t even considered.”
“Yes, they would call me racist but I was their racist, you know. Now all of America calls me racist and it’s just not the same.”
